Following the consultation activity undertaken in 2011 Newmark Properites (SN) LLP have carefully considered the feedback received from LB Hackney officers, elected members, local residents, business owners and other stakeholders. A number of revisions have now been made to the proposals in response to the feedback. The revisions include;

  • Increasing the number of residential flats on site and improving the mix of these to include a larger number of family sized homes;
  • Increasing the provision of affordable housing;
  • Reducing the size of the retail unit by 33%;
  • Removal of basement car park in its entirety, no car parking on site, allowing for disabled car parking only;
  • Removing vehicle access off Stoke Newington High Street;
  • Reducing vehicle movements along Wilmer Place from 400 two way unregulated movements per day to a maximum of 30 two way regulated movements per day;
  • The size of delivery vehicle to be restricted to a maximum of 11m;
  • Retention of ALL buildings on Stoke Newington High Street that were previously earmarked for demolition;
  • Increasing the landscaped area between the proposed development and the cemetery.

Newmark Properties (SN) LLP will be holding a second public exhibition on the 29th May. Separate invitations will be sent to all local residents and business owners in the area.

This website will be updated shortly with the revised proposals giving you the opportunity to review the scheme and provide feedback online if you are not able to attend the exhibition.
